Which Operating System is the best for a cell phone? Symbian, Java, Windows or is there anything else?

Yes, I use a Java phone. But there are only afew softwares available for Java. My friends suggest that Symbian is the best. Is it so?

I think symbian UIQ is the best platform, it has almost all types of software and is more reliable and faster than others

Windows Mobile os is emerging as the powerful os in the mobile world..after 5 to 10 years sometimes windows will be used as the os in many of the mobile phones..i think so..

Symbian is better then windows mobile, it works faster and there are tons of great app's released by symbian!

I think that the best platform is Symbian. But I like very much the Windows Mobile 2005 Phone Edition platform too!

Java is only a running platform...java platforms are installed into the symbian series nokia mobile phones..
