Fallen arches

My arches have fallen in my feet. I must wear orthodics. The doctor tells me that I must wear shoes all the time, as I have developed tendinitus. I'm on anti flamatories too. It is so painful. Do you have this? What do you, or did you do for this condition?

Yes margieanneart, I have a similar problem called Planter Faciitis, have had Physio, and now where Orthotics, proper shoes and no bear feet anymore. I used to love walking but that has been out for awhile. I do a daily routine and where ankle supports, the worst time is getting out of bed in the morning.

Thank you for responding to me. I am in so much pain too. I have my foot in a tight support, and must wear the orthodics. My foot was very swollen, so the dr. put me on anti inflamatories. That is helping that part. Surgery is out of the question, as it can be worse. So, will I have to live with this pain always? I cannot walk too long?

My problem is in both feet which makes it more difficult to walk. Do you ice your feet, stretch or anything like that? I really feel for you as it has definately changed my life, I feel so old!

I don't ice them. It is mostly one foot that hurts, but both have the same problem. The dr. mentioned physical therapy, but I cannot afford it.

I do not have this condition but it does sound painful from you have told us. I am sorry that you are in such pain and hope that you find something that will help you and get rid of the pain or make you feel more comfortable.
