So here's the PROBLEM!

I'm dating this guy for 2 months now and he seems great..BUT he has really bad breath and I don't know what to do about it. I can't just tell him. But I can't take it anymore. Is this a reason to break up with him? He is sweet, accomplished, and treats me really well..but I can't get too near because of his bad breath. What should I do? Any suggestions?

You should just tell him. There may be some medication he is one, he doesn't brush his teeth, or he may have an infection in his mouth he needs to get taken care of. Unless you can get one of his friends to tell him something, you are stuck delivering the bad news. Someone needs to tell him, if you can't maybe talk to his mom about it. The easy way out would be to start handing him mints every time he comes around.

is he having problems with his gum/teeth? that might be the reason for bad breath. i will suggest that you have a lot of mints with you so that you can let him chew on some mints to reduce the bad breath.

It is possible that he might not even be aware that he has a problem with bad breath. It can be caused by plaque, cavities, gum disease, and some pulmonary disorders. The tongue is also a source of bacteria. Everyone should brush their teeth three times a day and brush their tongues. Maybe it is time for him to go in to see the dentist. I would tell him as gently as I knew how. It is better to do that, and save a relationship with an otherwise great guy.
