What is it that makes you angry?

Do you find that you get angry sometimes? I am certain that you do. Are there certain people or things that set you off easily? How do you control your anger? I bet everyone has a story to tell on this topic.

hey, good question! Well, since i had my son i have been having anger issues. I think it is due to stress issues. What ticks me off is when my husband ignores me and talks to people online while i am in the room and acts like i am not even there. he does that alot and it just makes me so angry. I feel like i deserve more than to be treated like that so i go off and try to make a scene so he will talk to me but it just starts problems but feels good. lately i have been just ignoreing him too and thats working better. I like to relax after running around all day with my son. I find it is stressful to do a million things i have to then have to come home to clean up a huge mess and deal with all the little details that must be done before my son goes to bed. At this point in the day i am quite stressed and the smallest thing could set me off. So i kind of need to be left alone so i can get things done then relax and then im fine. but some people like to instagate me in those fragile moments and then i pop. lol its bad but then i know i need to relax and i do once the problem person goes away. I just dont like people comming into my house and trying to give me attitude when they have no clue what i have done all day and how i am feeling. i think i deserve much more respect and appreciation than i get. and that sets me off

I think you have hit on a couple of common pieces of the anger puzzle. Stress - when we are stessed, then the slightest thing irritates ten times as much as it ordinarily would. Expectations - when we have expectations of what someone else should do and they are not doing it, it is easy to lash out at them with an angry tounge or angry spirit. It also takes a lot of patience with children to avoid anger, as you travel through the maze of life's little issues. Thanks for responding. Many struggle with anger, and so do I.

Thanks for the post. How deep does it go into the ground - about 3 feet. Is it for a mailbox or what?

Yes, it is always a good practice to shut our mouths when we are angry. We only will create messes that we will have to clean up later. At least you recognize your anger, that is a good step.

well, i am quite a patient person. I can control myself in most situations. i try not to get mad to others coz it will be uncomfortable for both sides if someone angry. i can only angry when i wake up with bad mood in the morning.

Yes it is interesting how we can have a generally foul mood on a certain day. Then we are more likely to be angry over little things. Maybe their is even anger in that foul mood. Thanks for your response.

I get angry easily for no reason, but I'll forget about it in like 5-10 mins. But if I'm really pissed off about something and I can't forget,I'd listen to Heavy Metal very loudly, then I;ll be ok.

What do you think it is about the loud Heavy Metal that makes your anger subside? Maybe it is just because you are flooding your head and maybe your emotions with something different, and it takes you far away from the issue that ticked you off. I really do not know. What do you think? Thanks for your response.

what makes me angry is when someone talks behind of ym back or whenever someone forgets something tht i tell them in regards to helping me.. now that gets me at at wits ends.. thats pisses me off badly..

I understand what you are saying. Talking behind your back seems like a planned, maliscious thing. If someone forgets something you had told them, that is more understandable. We all forget. Thanks for your post. Have a great day.

As you said, anyone who says they do not get angry sometimes is probably fibbing. There are so many things that can upset us. We need to strive not to live our lives reacting to every circumstance that come along. Thanks for your response.

It takes alot to truly anger me. I try not to let my reptilian brain stem take control too often and I only saw red one time in my life when someone was hurting a family member. Other than that, anger is one of those primitive emotions I keep at bay as often as possible.

It is very easy to let anger gain control. Then you are almost gauranteed to say or do something you will regret. A consistent, hot temper is a nasty habit to develop.
