What is an approriate age?

To take your child to a rock concert? My daughters have been on my case to take them to this big Kissmas bash it is a local concert of many different groups. Now when I was in school concerts were a place where there was a lot of drinking and smoking of pot and even as an adult when I got to one I can smell the pot somewhere in the arena. So what is a good age to bring a child? I have seen kids as young as 8 or 9 at concerts before.

if you trust your kids take them... if you don't go with them...rock concerts are the best concerts
