Should the U.S. try to get out of Iraq or do we have a responsibility to the Iraqi people to stay there? What's your opinion? Does anybody think that they have a plan that would work as far as solving the problem in Iraq?

The Allied Forces in Iraq went there for a reason that is now, unfortunately, becoming more and more of a lie. They went there because of the fear that Saddam Hussein had, or was, going to produce Nukes! If Saddam HAD produced Nuclear Missiles, there is one thing for certain, he would have launched them at Israel!! He launched the SCUDS in the '91 war with Iraq, when he invaded Kuwait, he would have done the same thing again! However, it is becoming more clear, that we went there to change the regime of the country, which, in my opinion, is not what the UN mandate was for! Having said that..... Our forces are doing a very difficult job, and are slowly winning. The insurgents are having less of a place to hide! The British Government have announced that they will "Withdraw" our forces by Spring of 2007 Hopefully this means that the Iraqi people will be able to sort out the security of the country themselves. Personally I doubt it! The Sunni's and the Shiite's are determined to have a civil war! Your last question was, is there a solution to Iraq. YES Half the country, put one lot of Muslims in one part and the other lot in the other! Then they will have a border, and if they still want a war, it is their problem, not ours!

Oh, and the part about dividing up Iraq between shiites and sunnis is a good idea. The borders of most middle-eastern nations were just arbitrarily imposed during the hey-day of the British Empire anyways. There was no regard for clan or tribal lines. It's ironic that we are now the ones dealing with that problem
