Members give stupid opinions

I notice that when I go through some posts, seeing how members response to the discussions, I can almost always see someone giving stupid posts. For an example, discussion like "should we have kids at a younger age". I can see some members actually reply to the post with opnions like, nothing, no, yes, etc.. just one word. And there are some with replies that basically meaning other things. They could be copying something and just pasting it there. What are your opinions on this and do you have any experience? Please share.

I saw one earlier, there was a topic about what you do with your kids as far as activities and someone posted " i dont have kids " .. so why even post something. I posted a discussion about favorite concerts theyve been to and someone posted " i dont know ".. I dont know why people post things that dont even pertain to them.. Well, they do because of money, but its really annoying

Yes, I agree with you, even a yes or no is answering a question. They did do it because of money but giving posts like this earn like nothing. Some people just want to post more questions thinking that they can earn more. But I think it's the quality of the posts that earns more, not quantity. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

I'm not too sure of how mylot weed those out as well. Well, I have ever post such comments too, as a new users. But not now, I will to make as quality posts as possible. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

I think people just post to get the numbers up half of the time. I'm new to this, but thats what I've noticed. I think that if you are going to reply to a post you should at least contribute some information or insite to the Orginal Posters discussion. Not just something random or something unintelligent. But...people want to make money so they are going to post to pretty much anything just to get paid. =) Greed lol

i was verry annoyed by all this also, started some discussions on the same subject myself, along with other friends of mine and seems like mylot has decided to do something about it so i am not bothered anymore..they have a new alghorythm and each time a person only answers with one or 2 words responses, they will get no money for that...so eventually they will get bored, seeing they have nothing to gain anymore, and they will try to post longer responses,or give up this site ...although i have noticed that those who realised now that they won"t be making anymore money they started copy pasting other people responses...i always give the report abuse and we should all do so

Yea.. that's exactly what i was trying ot say .... If we ( and when i say we I mean people who care about mylot ) rank the replys, it will prove out to pay for us... becuase those " one liners" wont take the time to rank and therefore wont earn and get bored quicker and leave lol...

then i guess you didn"t get the alert from mylot, nor did you see the discussion that mylot started about the new algorithm..it"s a new feature that helps us,the ones who post quality responses, and takes away points from those who only post one or two words responses...

I am not really annoyed but this act, I am just puzzled, since they want to make more money, they should have quality posts rather than quantity. In that way, you can really see a difference in the amount of earnings. Not too sure about myLot algorithm but I'm sure it's improving day after day. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

Yes, I see this as well. It's obvious that these people are just going through and pasting answers into posts to try to earn money. I always try to take the time to report these when I come across them. I wish I knew if it's doing any good to report them or not. I'm hoping MyLot will remove these people if they continue doing this.

I'm sure myLot is having some hard time on these as well. Some of those users did make some good posts once a whle. I really do hope to see them around but with a slight change. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

It seems like that is happening more frequently, but if you didn't actually read the post you wouldn't catch it. At first glance it seems to be the normal three to four sentence response, but some of them are pretty far out there.

Ya, you are right. Yes, some people just go to the discussion and paste their answers without even bothering to read people responses. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

MYLOT DON'Ts: Post discussions, responses or comments criticizing members for bad/broken English or bad spelling. I wasnt criticizing him for his bad/broken english or bad spelling I was criticising him for his greed, and sloth. and blatent mis-use of mylot. ie. posting oneliners in an effort to gain.at the expense of good conversation... But Im sure many will get a kick out of the argument.

I have seen instances where a person hasn't even read the whole question and posted a one word answer that was different from what the question was asking.

Correct, maybe because of the discussions had a few more words that they didn't want to finish reading it. They read the first 2 lines and then response to the post. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time. Hope to see you in my next discussion. Please have a nice day and be Happy!!!

I don't think that they are reading the whole question. And,they are not interested in an intelligent discussion either.

Right, I agree with you totally. They are not even reading the questions. Some open up a discussion, immediately press the reply button. And then continue to post something stupid or irrevelant. I have made some silly responses myself and i feel bad about it. but have never made a yes or no answer..and i think it is annoying. and people who answer with a yes or no or a one worder are given no rating in my post.

Some of the people who are giving responses are doing it because they either didn't really read the discussion or they just want to post real quick to up their count. I have checked on a few of the discussions that I have started and seen answers that are just insane and let me know that the person did NOT read a thing I said. It's just really amusing when you think about it.

There are many types of people here on mylot, too bad not everyone uses the brains they have in their heads, what are you going to do, nothing, we can't get rid of them all. All we can do is rate them negative, alot of them just care about making a few bucks and forget everyone else's feelings. Like the first response to this post, that was so uncalled for.

i agree theres a lot of pretty pathetic quesitons out there but the last few days mylot seems to have deleted a lot of them which is nice for awhile i was getting so frustrated at sorting through the garbage questions to find one worth respponding to. With responses i think part of it is that a lot of the people using this site dont speak english well so they may respond with yes or no when they dont understand the question instead of just skipping over it and going on to a question that they do understand, so while it is frustrating and annoying just keep in mind that i may not always be on purpose. Hopefully as people use the site and gain a better understanding of how it works and the fact that these responses wont get them any earnings with the new way mylot is giving earnings this will start to happen less and less and we can enjoy the site as it was meant to be used and have some good quality discussions.

Yes there are many members replying in just one word or two giving no meaning at all. myLot has changed its algorithm and only members posting meaningful replies will be paid from now on. This will reduce the spamming in threads. I think the number of one or two word posts has come down since the introduction of the new algorithm. Do not worry!... Quality posts will not go unheeded. Cheers

I would say that money was part of this. But why not we make a better place to discuss in. Do you think when you ask for advice, you get stupid responses and you actually felt good? Money may be the issue but we try to make this a better community so that we can share and learn some experiences. Thank you for your fine response. I appreciate it very much for your time.
