How much sleep do you need?

How many hours of sleep do you need each night. I need around 8 hours of sleep to feel fresh and rested in the morning. I know some people only need around 5. How many hours do you need?

I think in our daily life atleast 6-7 hours of sleep is very essential and it is very necessary. I sleep for 8 on weekdays and on weekend I sleep for 10 hours...

I sleep for about eight. On weekends obviously I sleep a little more.

8 - keeps in good condition
A human life requires maximum of 8 hours to sleep and this would keep his mind and body in an good condition

I agree with you. I definitely notice that I feel a lot better when I have had more sleep. The body is more refereshed and rested.

I need around 8/nite. W/o going into it however I was very sick for quite some time and would sleep literally around 20 hours out of each day. At the time my brain was swollen, etc and I believe it was my body's way of healing. Although what I have is considered chronic and manageable as long as I make it that way:)...(hard for me at times) then I now am back doing well at 8/nite. Less than that and I have a very hard time. I would give anything if I only needed 4-5 and could keep on going!!!

Sleep is an essential part of human life. I need around 7 hours sleep regularly.
