Why some people are very shy and lack of confident?

Blushing, flushing or reddening of the skin, usually confined to the face and neck, resulting from an increased flow of blood in the superficial capillaries. These are some characteristics of people who are always shy, but what are they ashamed of? Some of my friends are like that, they lack of confidence in facing other people especially strangers, what is the best thing to motivate these peoples? thanks a lot...

the pesonality of a person whether shy or not depends on the environment he was brought up to a great extent. and above it the overall nature of the individual which can be shy in nature.

Some people are shy and lack confidence because when they were growing up they weren't complimented in such a way as to make them proud of themselves. Also, if someone was put down in some way by another person, this could've completely turned their self confidence upside down and shut them out from the world.

its because they dont have the exposure other have. So they have to be groomed slowly to gain their self confidence. Other aspect is they didnot discover their self or strength. If they do they wont shy.

This character is with everybody. Some of them are hiding and facing people in theior childhood itself. Some of them are unable to face the cituation and want to be alone due to various reasons in the family atmosphere. So only way to get rid of this problems is keep on facing people without any shy, inferiority complex. Gradually everything will change.

Its natural to get shy or may I say flattered esp. when being praised due to something that was or were done in a very good manner. All of us have that tendency ... to get flattered, excited, shocked etc. that may be seen thru a blushing / reddening of the checks or other gestures that may connote whatever we felt during that situation. These people aren't shy....maybe that's how they can expressed their feelings towards a comment (whether positive or negative).

Maybe because they dont like exposure and they did not gave any chance to expose to people since they were a child so they are like that and they dont have that confident I think it is also depends how their family raise them.

i am a shy person but i don't lack confidence. I guess i was born to be shy, all i need to do is to make adjustments to get along well with other people. being shy doesn't mean you lack confidence

Either you have confidence or you don't. It can be both nuture or nature. My mother always tried building me up but my father wasn't all that involved. Not sure if that caused me to have lack of confidence but I was never confident. I always knew I was different and that hurt as a child. As an adult, I can see it's not such a bad thing. My husband has no confidence either but that is a no brainer. His mother never built him up, she always tore him down!
