Why do religions react with hostility to solve problems

and think they are protected by the name of god?
BBC forum quoted: "The anger and violance shown over the Popes remarks just reinforces what he said!"
He might have said something wrong, but by protesting, the muslim religion is again seen on the news as being unstable and hostile. sometimes "the best response is no response at all"!!!!. but there is no "walk away gracefully" when it comes to religion.
Yet, we turn our back on those suffering everyday. we ignore famine, we ignore the things that happen to others just as long as we are given our place in paradise... if that is acceptable to all of you then carry on fighting over yourselves! is religion really going to give us peace? honestly?
I get upset when i see religion as the cause of such imense hurts. Why can't religion promote something positive in our lives? for all our sakes, before we destroy ourselves over nothing? but i fear its not going to change. there should be no term "holy war" in any religous vocabulary but that is how all things will end!

It's the same thing all over the world, and in all religions. Religion is fear, and fear is power! And man wants power!!!
If you look at the christian bibel, it is talking about the right to judge other persons. There shal be the work of ONE PERSON to make the judgement of mankind, and not someone amongst our selves...
the original scriptures of the bible(if I'm not wrong) does not talk about ONE GOD, but manny GOD SONS! And thei were called angels. After a great war in the 7th heaven, one of the angels fell to the earth, and he was bringing LIGHT AND HOPE to mannkind! His name was put together by two latin phrases: LUX (light) and FERO(Bring/give)How is it that the bible could change this to the name LUCIFER, that we today connect with evil?
