My husband and I dated for three mos, and we have been together for 35 years. He was a soldier boy, and I fell in love with him instantly. I have never regretted one day of our marriage

about a year and a half, I don't think there's a certain amount of required time, you just have to feel that you're ready to be with this person in marriage

My husband and I dated 18 months before we lived together and got married 3 years after that. I think only those involved knows what the necessary time limit is.

I was dating my husband for almost a year. But we were engaged after 2 months that we started dating. It was such a big mistake that marriage!

We were dating 2 years + before tying the knot. Dunno if that's considered long though I've known some who dated more than 9 years. I think a good time would be 1 yr of dating. I've seen friends who tied the knot after 6-9 years of dating but still ended in divorce.

Engagement Day (My 18th B-Day)
OOoohhh, a two-part question! I dated my hubby & best friend for 7 years before we married. We lived together for 5 years. He was my highschool sweetie! Marriage is over rated though. The only thing it changes is the "cost of breaking up" & tax break. It's mostly a religious ceremony. The time necessary depends on the relationship and the people involved. I'd advise you see a relationship counselor that some churches will actually require. MY MARRIAGE ADVICE: FRIENDS 1ST

we were dating for almost 6 months before we decided to settle down. i think for me its enough to know him better and his background. now we are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and hoping to last a lifetime.
