do you assume that he/she's up to something or do you just accept them gracefully and assume that they've bought them for you just because they wanted to?

It's taken years to convince my husbant that I din't like cut flowers, he now brings gifts of wooden flowers. I wouldn't think he was up to anything I'd just realise that I still have to put up with soppy gestures now and again.

I would wonder what he wanted because he doesn't even give me flowers on valentines day or anything ever. He knows I don't really like flowers so I would probably think he was up to something and that would be the reason why he gave me flowers because other halves don't get you stuff when they knpow you don't like it unless they're thinking of someone else.

It's because it's valentines day. I don't really like flowers in the house cos they die and have to get thrown away, but he'll always get me flowers on valentines day.

I won't assume he was up to something. Even if he did something he won't bring them LOL I get them once a year on Valentine's day that is it.

With me I would wonder what he was up to or what he did wrong. My husband never gives my flowers. I don't like them anyway but if he did something has to be wrong. LOL

It depends on the Significant Other. I had one who only brought me things when they'd done something wrong or said something hurtful, but I've had ones who just like to surprise me with little gifts.:D

Definately I will accept gracefully as it is faith and good will among the partners that count. If you are always assume things against your spouse then some lacunae is there in relationship.
