Many of us like magic tricks... I have even learnt a couple of them to entertain my friends... my personal favourite is the "Matchstick and Hankey" trick... i think many of you people know this.. to do this we need two matchsticks and a handkerchief.... to prepare slide one of the match in to the stitched area into one of the edges. to perform.. place the other match in the middle and fold the hankey.. make sure u know where the match that u first inserted is.... now offer the first match stick and make the person feel it and ask him to break it... after some waving of hands open the handkerchief.. and voila.. the match u plaed in the mid is there unbroken....

As a performing magician, I use the trick that you describe, as a standard one at a bars[plastic stirrers work better]. But, as my fellow prestodigitator pronounces above, I do not get into discussions of how they are done. I am VP of my local IBM and I have a blast gettings together with other magicians. I am not into the Blaine's, the Angel's or the Cooperfields; I prefer to watch the locals; I find that they are often as good or better than those tv magi. If I would share or disclose one thing about good magic, it would be ... PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!! Have fun!!
