Is Sesame Street still popular for preschoolers?

If you turn on the tv..you will see Dora,Blues Clues..etc. When my son was a preschooler..they had Sesame Street,Barney and Teletubbies(gosh,I hated that one). Which programs are more helpful for a little person to watch?

Sesame Street was a favorite among pre-schoolers, a long time ago. Kids now are more mature that they watch more of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

I watched it and love it! Also born in 86. I think the concept then was a bit different. My kid bro does not relate to sesame street. his generation watches Power rangers. Today kids do watch sesame street but it's more like Elmo street. no more big bird and those classic sing along.

The best would be not to leave children in front that useless box called television ipnotizing them and letting their minds be poorer than how they could be. The best would be to play with children, and to give them educative games to help them to learn to use the brain. They still can learn to use it...for adults it's too late....
