How Useful Would You Find a Proofreading or Novel/Story Submission Service?

Hi! I've been told a few times that the company I work for may be changing, and eliminating my job along with it. *cries* Anyway, I'm trying to find something I'm already qualified to do. I have professional experience as a proofreader and editor. Would anyone here think an editing service would be successful? Thanks in advance! :-)

I think it's a nice field. Even i'm a Professional Copy Editor now on the lookout for jobs here in Sydney. I come to know this is a good field only thing is we need to get started and once we land up in a nice concern then we r safe.
