I really like this movie. I met someone 3 yrs ago, and i'm still hoping that one day, i'll see him again. Here's the story of before sunset. When Jesse and Celine met on a Eurail train, the connection between them was immediate and profound. The 14-hour relationship that followed, as the pair explored the spontaneous and unexpected in Vienna, ended on a train platform where they swore they'd meet again six months later. Nine years have passed since that morning. On the last stop of his book tour, at the tail end of a reading in a Paris book shop, Jesse finds Celine watching from the back of the room. She lives in Paris now, he in New York. He's flying out that evening and they utilize every moment, finding their human connection no less vital, inspiring or real than it was in nine years ago in Vienna. In real time, these two individuals explore the inner workings of their hearts and minds and rediscover their rare yet powerful love for the unexpected, the unrehearsed, and each other.

Well it looked like a plot of a novel. But yes this happens in real life too. Have patience.

I am in love with this film. I too have met someone on a holiday and lost her contact information, all I knew was her first name. I remember every moment we had, I also remember her saying that she came there every summer. What I did was go back after two years for the whole entire summer and I finally found her. What I can say to you is that if you really had something special with someone, do anything it takes. Write a novel, make a film, search the streets for them if you must. Don't lose hope, it might take some time, have faith. The reward is so much better in the long run.

I hope you meet again. But I was just wondering how in this day and age you did not get that someone's contact details. Well if you know the name perhaps you can always search at Friendster, multiply or myspace or any other similar websites. Or get in touch with your common friends. But the question is do you really want to see this person again? Because if you do there are always ways to search for him (I am assuming that its a him). As for the movie Before Sunset I didn't quite like it because it bored me with their nonstop talking. I couldn't even get past the train scene without me dozing to sleep. But I respect that you liek this movie please do not be offended I think it is a nice story but I also think they should have limited the dialogues.

ooops sorry...I reread your discussion and confirmed that it is a guy you are talking about. My take on this is if you really want to see him again, do everything possible, if you find him it is more rewarding and sweeter because you have exerted effort and hopefully you will not lose him again. I wish you all the best.
