What movies would you consider a classic? And why?

I like the Godfather saga. It is a classic and I can watch it again and again and still be in awe about the movie and what the characters do. Can you put here movies which you think could be classified as "classic" and state why? It does not have to be old.

for me, i consider braveheart as an all time favorite of mine. and for love stories... grease is one of the bests ever!

That's two votes for Braveheart already and I have nothing to say. Maybe just a thought that I MUST watch it because I haven't YET. Musicals are always nice. That's why I like Disney... and yes, Grease. :)

Speaking of West Side Story, thank you for reminding me that I HAVE TO watch it. I've been planning to for the past few months but I just don't remember. But the musical soundtrack is really good.

I like the Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind, I think these are both classics, they have been around for years and are just great movies.

I like the Wizard of Oz too and yes I agree that it is a classic and That goes for Gone with the Wind too. There's a broadway show entitiled Wicked that tells the tale of the Wicked Witch of the West. I am wondering how it would turn out if it's made into a movie. I like Scarlet's clothes in Gone with the Wind. It makes me dreamy.

i love braveheart by mel gibson. To me it has everything and i always find something new in it every time i see it, a quite amazing film

I do like godfather coz of its screenplay,,story,,acting.. Michael Carleoni is my fav character.. He taught me characters like patience ,,,controlling emotions,,loving ur decisions,,believe un urself..
