What is a self-punishment mechanism? do you have any idea about it? well i have known that victims of a self-punishment mechanism are those people who are lacking in inner peace. At some point of their live they had experience that they had committed a sin and the sense of guilt haunts them. Whereby sometimes an individual will not forgive himself. He feels that he deserves punishment and because of that he tends to do things for instance increasing the intensity of his activity just to release from his sense of guilt. Sometimes this lack of inner peace came from chilhhod insecurities and from later guilty experiences. There's a lot of instances and situation in your life that explains this kind of mechanism. Do you consider yourself as one of the victim of this mechanism? share your point of views and experiences.

Thanks for good explanation. Well, i am grateful to my parents that they have brought me up in such a way that i dont do any harm to others. Even earning money in illegal way will make us unstable and we will keep thinking that when we will get caught. Anyway i dint do any such thing till now and i wont even do it. I would also advice others to be away from these so that we dont strain us a lot and have a peaceful life :)
