It's slightly taboo. It's not something to mention at work. It's always a bad scene when you find out how much people make. It's a private matter, and should be kept as such.

I feel the same way about money at work. What do you think about with your friends? Do you think it's wrong to show that you have something new around friends that aren't doing as well as you are?
