When my first husband and I were newly married someone gave us an old used car. They were so careful, we had to have insurance and this and that. After we jumped through all the hoops we got to take it home. We were so excited. We were driving home and heard a couple of clunks. We stopped and the drive shaft had fallen right out of the car. We got that fixed and something else went wrong. I forget what, this was back in 1984 I think. So the car ended up sitting for a few months and then it went to the junkyard. I'm sure they thought they did us a favor, but they didn't really.

I got so upset last year because my inlaws got me a sweater for Christmas that was a XXXL when I was only a size large. I cried when we got home and asked my husband if I really looked that big. It really broke my heart!

I know it is the thought that counts but some people seem like they don't put that much thought into buying gifts. Christmas 2003 my cousin bought me some makeup, as you can see on my picture I have a light skin tone. The foundation of the makeup was called chocolate late and all of the makeup was arranged to for someone of a darker skintone. Now that I think about it I think she regifted me, meaning I think someone gave it to her and she gave it to me. It's funny now that I think about it but back then I was really upset. Oh well no matter what you get remember Jesus gave us the ultimate gift by dying for us. HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!

sweaters as gifts - many sweaters are quite nice, however when you get impractical where only certain placed suit them
I used to get the sweaters with glued on decorations or plastic beads and sequins..you cannot wash those and even if you a dryer is definitely out. Also as fancy as they were I had no where to wear them..pretty but not my thing.
