Turkey how long can you save turkey?

I froze it over the Hoiliday and took it out and put it in the refrig, it's been in Freg for a week, through it out or what? It does't smell.

I wouldn't keep it too much longer. Leftovers are usually good for a week in the fridge, not much longer.

My motto for food is "when in doubt throw it out" nothing is worth getting food poison. Now if you have a whole turkey and it has not been opened and it has been frozen and just thawing out in the fridge it should be good. Just because something doesn't smell funny doesn't mean its good. I bought a whole turkey for thanksgiving and I had it thawing in the fridge for about 6 days and it was fine. Most of the time food in the fridge for a week is ok, after a week it goes in the garbadge. I hope this helps.

Thank you that was good information. I will use it today if not today I will through it out. It was a whole turkey that I had cut up I was going to use it for turkey salad. and sanwhiches.

Keep them in the back yard as pets then nobody will want to eat them....hehehehe
