I am a CPA and I love it! I am just a serious numbers person. My busy season is coming up so not many people will see me for a few months, but the rest of the year is pretty normal. My husband and I also have a home-based business that we are working on so my husband can quit his currnet job - he hates it.

Let me start off by saying that I have many jobs. ha ha I used to be in the Air Force and loved it! My last job before we transferred here, I was a pre-auditor for frieght billing. My clients list included Scholastic. I really loved that too. But now I am a stay home mom for the time being. School hours here do not permit me to work office hours. I have tried working the night shift, but my relationship with my partner suffered because of it. So I dare not risk working the late hours. So now my job entails me to be a Jack of All Trades....I am a handy man, painter, teacher, nurse, doctor, proof reader, sitter, nanny, seamtress, artist, project coordinator, nutritionist, cook, baker, pharmacist, personal shopper, personal assistant, Information Tech, plumber, dry cleaner, chauffer, counselor, mediator, peace maker, warden, manager, but also the assistant manager, writer, researcher, typist, photographer, hygenist, makeup artist, barber, hair stylist, librarian, clothing stylist, conversationist, philanthropist, vet, dog groomer, dog trainer, landscaper, lawn service tech, gardner, decorator, party organizer, and I am sure if I thought about it more...I could think of more. I'm a mother of seven children. So I am a very busy person.

I'm a Trade Specialist II and most of what I do are: maintaining the operation efficiency of any automobile I worked or work on, overhauling,tune-up and order parts needed for these automobiles.

I am not working except for doing paid emails. I am not able to do the kinds of jobs I used to do but not enough to draw disability. I get widow's benefits from my husband who was killed almost 23 years since I am over 60 and am not remarried. It sucks to from being able to do work whether it as a woman's work or doing the work of a man which I did some. My job now, even though I don't make goobs of money from it, is the internet.

Swetie there is no such thing as man and woman's work. A woman is just as effencient and affective as any man so do not let them fool you thiking there is a difference. As a woman you can do any job, health providing, as effectively as I, a man, can!! that frame of thought belongs in the past, not here in the 21st century!! thank you for the post and have a great day!!

Sorry to read that you are disabled. But I am sure that wont stop you from finding work for yourself and making good out of it. I'm an artist and currently working as a web/graphic designer, about for last 6 years.

I work part time in a laboratory - it's good because it's during school hours which means I'm home for the kids. And I'm slowly building my online business which I do between getting home from my offline job and picking kids up from school :-)

A Laboratory? Do you have long teeth and a long tail??? If not I hope that you enjoy your work! (no that was not a slam at animal testing, just a joke) It is great that you are there for your kids and work, for most people it is one or the other not both. Kudos to you!! Thank you for the post and have a great day!!
