Have you ever noticed how the commercials with regard to alcohol seem so attractive and seem to basically put the bottle right into your hands? It seems that there is no regulations in their advertising, this is especially harmful to youth I think. So what do you think, can we blame the goverment at all?

ernment. It gets blamed for every thing. Its the governments fault that we don't plan for retirement. Its the governements fault if we have too many children and can't support them. We want the overnment to be our mommies and daddies. kee us from drinkung . take our cigerrets awy from us. protect us from ourselves. feed us. make us well. why do we depend on the government for every thing?

So should we ban cheeseburgers and anything else that is 'unhealthy'? Is it the governments fault if some crazy nutjob decides to kill someone with a baseball bat, one he bought after seeing a commercial for it on TV?

the goverment can be blamed for many things and what you ar saying is very true but you have to remember that everyone in the long run has a choice and that's why the goverment can't take the blame!

I really do not believe that the government is responsible at all. People need to take responsibility for themselves. Just because something looks attractive does not mean you have to buy it. Character building starts when you are very young. Maybe parents should spend more time with their children instead of letting them watch so much television. Just because you see Superman leap from a tall building are you going to do it? This is about free enterprise. YOU make your choices.

Yeah...I think more needs to be done in all levels of government to help people like this...after all there are many people suffering from such addictions....

No, blame the people that are doing the drinking. Anything can become an addiciton, don't blame others for problems that you have.

i do think its still in upon a person who would want to be attracted by these commercials. if there is someone to blamed though that same person should be totally responsible for his/her action.
