Do you think technology will close the gap of rich and poor? Why?

They said, technology is beneficial for everybody. Do you think technology will close the gap of rich and poor or its the other way around? Why?

With improvement in technologies like good seeds we have increased our resources..Hence it can b made available 2 each..With this we r minimizing the effects of poverty.. So I guess with increase in productivity per capita income is also increasing,,narrowing the gap

in the world there are rich and poor and there will always be. technology will increase the gap, rich could do many more things (from new cure to new way of communicating or doing business) and poor will be always poorer
