I toldthem to ask there dad and he said he didn't care to ask me I was the stricted one so I kinda agreed to let them do it because someone said they are good kids be happy that is all they are asking for but now I wish I won't have. WHAT DO YOU THINK.

18. That was the rule for wild things in my house. Us girls were allowed to get our ears pierced earlier, but that was it. Second holes, tattoos, etc...18.

If girls could get their ears pierced earlier then why not the boys? That seems a bit of a double standard there. It should be the same age no matter what gender the child is.

My thought is if they want to then what's the problem? We don't think twice about girls getting theirs pierced at those ages why should boys be any different? It's not like if they have problems with them it won't go away, like a tatoo won't. Ear holes close up pretty quick especially when they are brand new. If they want to do it let them.

Yes if they are good kids and responsible enough to take care of the piercings. I don't see anything wrong with it unless they were brats and didn't deserve a luxury like this. My son wanted a tatoo at 15, but I said no. I wanted him to be old enough to pay for himself. It is expensive and now that he is almost 20 he is glad he didn't so it. He never wanted a pierced ear though, so I never had to make the decision.

I don't see a problem with that just as long as they take care of it so that it does'nt get infected. And they don't get any weird looking earrings later.
