Did you/ have you gotten a pet from a shelter?

I haven't but my mom has. She always went to a shelter to get a dog. I believe that she had at least two from them. I think its a good thing to do. My dog was given to me by a friend who couldn't keep her anymore and then before we could get her fixed, a neighbors dog got her pregnant, so we have 3 of her puppies now too. Well, not puppies anymore, they are almost 3 years old.

Yes we got a red cattle dog. She was only 3 months old. She had been vaccinnated and fixed. She also had been microchipped. She is the one of the best dogs we have owned. She is obediant and playful. She used to chew powercords though. We found by rubbing chilli on the cords it stopped her. If we ever found somebody who wanted a dog I would happily recommend the RSPCA.

We got both our cats from a shelter, its very good ot rehome unwanted animals. Our cats are very happy and we are pleased that we were able to give a cat a home that somone didn't want anymore.
