Tele - Marketers, invasion of privacy????

I was just wondering what every one else's thoughts are on tele-marketers that call you, (generally around the time you are frantically trying to make dinner for your family) to sell you something you don't need or want! I appreciate these people have a job to do, but I was wondering what is your response to these uninvited phone calls? Do you hang up, politely say 'no thank you', or listen to the whole sales pitch and consider what it is they are selling? Do you mind tele-marketers calling you?

i now have caller display on my elephone so if i dont know the number or the caller chooses o hide their identity i just dont answer, this stops them. Also, if you do answer, try selling them something, it puts them on the back foot, they dont bother much after that

I don't have "calling number display" but If it a telemarketer calling me I just press the hold button and have them listen to "music on hold" for ten minutes. When I check back they are long gone

companies can buy your number but they only keep them if you answer the call
