I used McAfee for quite sometime but it raised havoc with my computer. When I upgraded my computer they downloaded the AVG free edition and so far I haven't had any problems with it.

I am using AVG Free Edition.. why? because its free to download, and it only consume few memory.I seldom use norton anivirus, because it consume large amount of memory...specially during start-up/boot-up.It's not advisable to use norton for slow computer..If you want to use norton better upgrade ur PC..

I am not using AVG free or Pro edition. I was using aVast which is also a great product. I have though use AVG Free. It is still an amazing product. I think AVG is giving many home users a great option to safeguard their system for free which is great for any home users.

I use the free one also. If its free and it works, why fix it? As long as it does its job I'll be happy. And I believe it has done it so far. No nasty viruses lingering around!
