no, some peoples taste buds are more sensitive than others and if your a smoker it can take away from the taste of food.

I don't think so. I am a very picky eater I have discovered. I never knew this until I met my best friend, who will eat anything and LOVE it! We do not have the same palette at all, what I think taste like poison she divulges with ectasy.
