yeh this happend to me once when i was in Sharjah i went a swimming pool i wasn't good swimmer at that time. I thought swimming pool will be the same like a slide from low deep to deepest i was almost at the edge then i move ahead there was a big slide right after the edge and i felt down. My cousin was instructhing me before if u fell in a deep water u need not to worry abt all you have to wait untill your legs touch the floor and u need to push your legs right after tocuhing the floor. so when i felt i wait a while but what happen my legs did't touch any floor and i got confuse then i try to out my mouth from the water and call my cousin but water get inside my mouth. i felt insdie water and then i try again and try to convince my msg to my cousin by waving my hands outside. Fortunatly my cousin were near he saw me and picked my hand to get me out from pool. Lukily i was safe. At that time rescue told me not to go inside the pool again and wait for him then he came and teach me swimming. :) right after 1 hour i was diving and swimming in a deepest point of pool. :)

Sea Hut - A watch or rest house or hut along the sea somewhere in Leyte, Philippines
When we went to Cebu for Ladies' Retreat, we visited Lapu-lapu City's white sand. We swam but in the swimming pool. There were children and elderly who didn't know how to swim. I taught them including lying down on water. The children learned how to swim the ordinary way. The elderly didn't but she learned how to be on her back on water! So lying on water, she closed her eyes peacefully enjoying but the waves moved her to the deepest area of the pool. Knowing that she did not know how to swim, I rushly swan to her but realizing that she is in the deep, she embraced me and I could no longer move. We did not drown but I was made to drink plenty of water. When I think about it even now after a long time, I am scared.

Yes, sometimes if we go for rescue of others, we will fall in trouble. Especially in the water, it is very dangerous, we should be very cautious when we are rescuing any person, we should avoid them to catch hold of our necks. There are chances that both of you can drown. Thanks for response. You were marked with +

Snapping turtle - This is about the size of the turtle chasing me, and believe me, they can swim fast!
I love swimming, and believe myself to be a very good swimmer. with that, i did get really scared one time, and my swimming abilities came in handy. i was swimming in a oversized pond, and was having a great time until someone starting yelling at me to swim as fast as i could! i was being chased by a snapping turtle! I couldnt believe it, so i swam my little heart out, and made it to shore before anything latched onto me. This was my only time i was scared while swimming.

One time my sister and I where swimming in the ocean in alantic city. The wave where pretty strong. We went in pretty far but not redicusly far out into the ocea. What seemed like all of the suden the ground diapeared out from under us. It got really deep where we where and the waves kept pulling us further anf urther away. The life gaurd was wistling for us to come in but we where both swimming as hard as we could and getting no where. The life gaurds where starting to get thier boat ready to get us but luckily a huge wave came and we caught a hold of it and paddled up with it. We where so tired from trying so hard to get in. I was defintly scared. Since I do not go out into the ocean like that anymore. Just up to my chest and and always carful to make sure the ground is always under me.

I am very fond of swimming long distances and wait for such oppurtunities. One day i crossed a river and after a short rest tried to return to the point of origin where my friends were waiting for me.I resorted to back float to save my energy but realised i was not moving in a straight line. It took me twice the time to get back and was very scary. It thought me a lesson.

I am a good swimmer and can swim for long distances. Long hours of practice gave me confidence and i liked to do so whenever i went for a swim with my friends. On one occasion i experienced cramps on my toes which immobilised me and i missed drowning.I realised the need to always be cautious and never take ones ability to swim ,or the water for granted.

Same happened to me once. It was my first encounter with water. soon i realized the fact i heard from some wise person, don't fight with water, as it helps you if you loose urself. I was floating in fractions of seconds facing towards sky.

I almost drowned once and I saw someone drown. I even watched as they Dragged the river for her body. It was a horrible experience. I love to swim but I won't go anywhere that my feet can't touch the bottom and I can still have my head above water.

I'm not scared of stilled water. I'm scared of only running water like streams.
