now he wants to meet me,what should i do?

i met this guy in the internet,thru chatting.we hit it off pretty well.we chat for hours everday.this continued for around a week.yesterday,out of the blue,he tells that he wants to meet me.well i agreed and we decided to meet at a hotel.now i'm having second thoughts.you i belong to a very conservative family.they have drawn a dark line as far relationships wth guys are concerned.i dont know what to do.i dnt wana stand him up but i'm really afraid...what should i do???...help

I think what would be better was to meet him in a public place for dinner, such as a nice resturant and take a friend along with you. Follow your instints, they usually don't lie. If he is legit on his feelings for you and respects you, he will understand. Think of your real life. If you met a guy in a grocery store and he wanted you to go to a hotel to talk and get to know you better, would you do it? If he suggested the hotel, look at that as a warning. You need to also think about if meeting a man in this way would put a distance between you and your family. Could you go tell them now that you are going to do this? I don't know how old you are, but I still say you should tell him you changed your mind for your own safety. Then plan an hour dinner somewhere with a friend with you. Take it slow.
