I like Stephen King and V.C. Andrews myself. How about Dean Koontz? He writes some good books. I am reading his book Odd Thomas right now. I just finished his book The Husband. I liked both of them.

Hello. I love to read too. Have you ever read Dean Koontz? How about Bentley Little? Stephen King reads Bentley Little. Have you ever read any Francesca Lia Block? She is one of my favorites. How about Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake vampire series. Those are excellent. Have you heard of Christopher Moore or Douglas Coupland? This year the four best books I read are "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Neffinger, "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kid, "A Home At The End of the World" by Micheal Cunningham, and "Running with Scissors" by Augustin Burroughs.

All the Sue Grafton alphabet mysteries books are good. Archer Mayor for some great mysteries, Bently Little for some creepy horror, The Clan of the Cavebear Series is great, james redfield for some spiritual fiction, James Patterson for some good mysteries also. I like mysteries a lot. My Side Of The Mountain is a great book even though it is actually for jr readers. Devils and Angels which is actually a prequel to The DaVincci Code. It was really good.

If you like Stephen King, you might enjoy Dean Koontz. Similar sort of stories. My favourite author is Sydney Sheldon, Catherine Cookson, probably because I grew up near to the places she writes about. Oh another one you might enjoy is James Patterson.

If you are looking for light but enjoyable reading, then have you tried Agatha Christie? She writes really good detective novels - and it's pretty much impossible to guess who the baddie is (though you may think you've worked it out while reading!)

i would recommend "Veronika Decides to Die" by Paulo Coelho. that's a good one. This story follows Veronika through these intense days as, to her surprise, she finds herself drawn into the enclosed world of Villette. She begins to notice more, to become interested in the other patients. She starts to see her past relationships much more clearly and understand why she felt her life had no meaning.

If you're into fantasy, I'd suggest checking out anything by Terry Brooks or the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin (the series begins with the book Game of Thrones). I also like V.C. Andrews and Stephen King. You've probably already read Flowers in the Attic (along with the following novels in that series). Have you read Stephen King's Bag of Bones, Eye of the Dragon, Salem's Lot, or The Stand? Those are my favorites by him. And if you like Stephen King, you might also like Dean Koontz. He is one of my favorite authors. His Odd Thomas series is my favorite, followed by the book Life Expectancy and One Door Away from Heaven.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury It's a look into the future and how government censorship could affect the world. It's a semi-old book but it is very interesting.

I'd do like everyone else said and read Dean Koontz. Also John Saul is quite good and along the same lines. I've also started reading Clive Barker. Some of my favorite authors though are: Nora Roberts, V.C. Andrews, Jude Deveraux, John Saul, Dean Koontz, Ann Rule... I read mystery, thriller, romance, history, bios, a bit of sci-fi, but not much...

Thanks a lot for giving us the chance to recommend. I like the Holy Bible and I hope you give some time also to read it. I have translated some books of the Holy Bible from Greek to English and published some such as GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English) and THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English). To help people understand the will of God, I have also published other books entitled GOD, ORIGIN, ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, etc. All of these are shown at my website shown in my Profile here - Arsenia Joaquin in truth and my storefront at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin I translate PLAINLY from Bible Greek to English - Greek word to its English equivalent so it's different from the versions circulating around the world. May God bless you. SEN
