Do many of your posts have none to very few responses?

Alot of mine do. and I am getting tired of it. I make decent discussions, things I want to know, and no one answers them. so I am offering a deal. For every one of my discussions that you answer today, I will answer one of yours. so the more of mine you answer, the more of yours i will answer.

i do try to make interesting discussions, that others might like. ones that are not repeats of everything on here. but i have found that most people on here go for the lame topics, that are too easy to answer, and dont make you think.

Alot of mine do and I find it rather silly really, all these poll like questions still getting annoying one word answers (normally 'yes' or 'no' - Seriously what is the point in posting that? ::)) but I'd rather get decent replies than lots of stupid, simple, unworthy replies :)

Yes! I have started some posts that I thought would be very good because they were on subjects that I really care about. Yet no one responded. Then there are a lot of discussions with very stupid subjects that get lots of posts. I really do not understand!!!!

I dont think anyone understands it. soon we will all just create random idiotic posts. it seems to be the preference on here.

im with you on this. I think the lower the quality of the question, the higher the number of responses they seem to get. I think this is because the questions are much easier to answer, they need no joined up thinking at all. Consequently they apeal to the simple minded and get hundreds of replies. As with an earlier poster, you dont have to reply to my discussions only if they interest you good luck and happy posting

no answer - discussions come and go and so therefore we try our best to develop a discussion that will strike a cord with the general masses.
Will definitely check out your discussions, no pressure to do the same for me. I try to help whereever I can and I have found that my discussions get slow numbers...leave them for about a week and they get some responses. I figure as more people find me I will get more answers to my discussions. Am not a fast poster so my numbers grown gradually and steadily. Good luck, this discussion may become the help you seek!

It does happen a lot and I think it's because so many people are posting dicussions all at once that it is difficult to respond to as many as we would all like to. I try to find quality discussions but every time I hit the next button or back it seems like it's been updated and there are ten new discussions. It's hard to keep track of where you are on the list as you scroll down because so many people are using this site now, which, is a good thing.

Yeah, when I actually tried to make a worthwhile post...no dice. Then I put up a pointless continuing story thread...and I finally got some responses. I think it has to be extremely silly or controversial to really gain any attention.

I agree. I think maybe there are so many discussions being started each minute that one that you just started could be off the front page in a matter of seconds. I did ask for advice on how to get responses and so far I was told use tags, post interesting topics and have a friend list. I just joined yesterday so I am learning the ropes and I already made a mistake by posting a discussion twice. live and learn I say.

Bad Smile - Bad Smile
I agree. I have posted some pretty decent posts I think. And they may have at the most about 4 responses. I try to post to about everyones post..no matter how crazy the question. I even go to the section of discussions with no posts to help out the people who arent getting any posts. If everyone would do that and just try to help everyone out, we all could probably make more money on here.
