I am planning to visit a water fall which is 150 km from Bangalore city during next fornight.

if u r looking for an economic place.. try india.. their u can go many places especially kerala.. gods own country...

what about going to switzerland

It depends on your current living circumstances. If you’re in the country you don’t very well want to spend a holiday there! A lot of people go to Ireland for the sights, although in my opinion England has the more historic features and beautiful countryside to cavort around in. At the end of the day, you'll make the best out of the worst locations, it doesn't have to be any where fancy or far.

I would suggest a bed & breakfast or a cottage somewhere where it is peaceful. Not a place that is full of tourist or near a big city. Just somewhere nice and relaxing.

I was told the most romantic place is Bali Islands in Indonesia. I had no opportunity to go there.

the basic idea is to take ur wife to some place really different .. u will not enjoy the beaches if u have been living next to a shore all ur life .. so go to some place which refreshes ur thoughts and u both have a nice time .. and if u really love ur wife , i guess u can make any place as romantic as possible .. place wont really matter
