India the emerging superpower?

Do you belive this is true? Can India gain the status of world superpower? Can India compete with the likes of China?

yes but before that we have to overcome some serious problems like over population, corruption and many more

India can gain status of world superpower if the people living in india if it becomes free from corruption and the people in india are non selfish. defnitely what you said will be achieved.

Ok, please elaborate. What do you think are the hurdles that India faces? and Who or what do you think will obstruct India's progress? Because at the current rate at which India is Growing, it is destained to become a superpower.

ANd do you know that India is the second in the world in airpollution? After USA. I would not be so proud for this superpower. Only these 3 countries did not undersign the agreement in Kioto: USA, India, and China. These 3 countries do their best to destroy the ozone layer.

If India has not committed itself on an ecological front, then I feel bad too. India needs to implement a lot of eco friendly policies....

yes india is very much an emerging superpower, forget bout makin it a superpower v 1st need to look the issues plaging development competing wid china is something different n its india which has the greatest advantage of the vast talent pool, well china has its own core competencies n can surpass india in some verticals c wat china did to contro lpopulation, such r the issues india need to addres

Yes, India can be a Superpower by another 15 to 20 years. There is no doubt. As we are growing in all fields, will lead us towards becoming a Superpower. Only thing should not happen with us is War with any of the country. Because war will again push back us for years. If war burst, there will be huge damages of mankind as well as property. Some country are provoking Pakistan for war. We have to avoid it anyhow.

Yes, Definitely INDIA will be a Super power. The way indians are performing, and their young knoledge mass will lead india to that place before 2020.compiting with china may take some more years but its not out of reach for the indians
