Boy suspended for pellet gun

They are talking on the radio right now (KISS FM in Chicago) about a boy in Plainfield that heard some kids talking about a pellet gun in the bathroom. He went to get the gun, and brought it to the assistant principal. The principal decided to expel the child from school. WHAT?? He helped out by bringing this gun to the principal, and he gets this mark on his record!? For trying to do the right thing, this 13 year old boy is now unable to continue attending school in the town he lives in! unbelievable. I understand NO TOLERANCE, but this is ridiculous. It's not like he got caught with it, he BROUGHT IT TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE!
