I use to mystery shop some but there were never any shops open where I live so the gas was costing me more than I actually made. It would be great if I lived in the city where there were plenty of shops available.

The problem with mystery shopping for me is no local companies are hiring. All the mystery shopping opportunities are about an hour away and, by the time you pay for gas, it's not worth i.

I've heard of it but don't know anyone who's done it. Have you done a lot of it? Is it easy to find assignments? I get emails about it, but if it's so easy and lucrative, I figure everybody and his brother would be doing it, right?
