What do you do when a parent doesn’t take care of themselves

My Father not only was addicted to alcohol but cigarettes and really poor personal choices in the departments of nutrition and hygiene. He’s now on Hospice ( Click the link at the bottom of this post to get to original string that has info on hospice) and unable to access these deadly addictive items thank goodness and is now being provided with proper nutrition and hygiene assistance. Prior to him being in an assisted living facility he was living in a grungy apartment that had the carpet worn out in the areas where there was high traffic. We will NOT go into the sheets that I would estimate had not been changed in 7 years! The fridge, nah we’re not gonna talk about that either! What about you? How are you dealing with your family member(s) choice or inability to care for themselves? Any suggestions for me? That is very sad for your dad. And for you and the rest of the family. At least he is getting proper care now. Take care!

Now I understood your other two previous topics. As I told you I have no experience, but you should pray and God will help you. For sure.
