life spand of a lab?

Does anyone know the average life spand of a lab? I have heard that it is 10. Has anyone had a lab that has lived longer then that?

I have heard that the bigger the dog, the less life span. The smaller breeds live around 2- to 14 years. A lab can be around 10. Great danes are 6 to 8 years.
