I never did run away from home as a kid, but I think I did threaten to run away and ended up hiding under the porch or something. I never had the guts to actually run away.

Hiding was as good as running away and easier to do. LOL

No, I wouldn't have dared - I thought about it sometimes though. I think when I left home when I was 20 I probably ran away because my parents disaproved of my fiancee so I got a flat so they didn't have to see him.

I was FIVE, and I told my mother I was going to run away from home. She said "OK" and preceded to pack the biggest suitcase we owned with all of my stuff. She put it outside the door on the sidewalk and told me goodbye and shut the door. I dragged it to the mailbox, then I sat down and cried. She finally let me back in the house. I cried because I knew I couldn't get away, not because I wanted to go home. It makes me sad to think about it...........

No I never did run away. I thought about it many times when I was in High School though. My dad never approved of my boyfriend (he wasn't a "bad boy" or anything and never did anything to hurt me, he just didn't like him). It made it very hard to live at home where I am the only child and my dad watched (and still does) everything that I did.

i did run away from home when i was in my early 20s...when my parents gave away a puppy as they think he's too naughty and always biting off all the furniture in the house...i went to my office and cool down for nearly 6 hours...then when i went back, i refused to talk to them for a few days as i was too heart broken over my puppy.

That's probably about the same age I was the first time I ran away. LOL. I'm glad to know that there are a few more out there that did that when they were a kid. Oh, and smart thinking on taking the twinkie with you. haha!

In my mind. My mother used to always tell me to go ahead and leave and that I would come back when I got miss-a-meal cramps.

Yes, I was in Washington State and flew 14 hours to see my boyfriend in Germany! Stole my parents credit cards for the one way ticket.

I can honestly say that I have never ran away from home. I never had a reason to, nor did I ever have a place to run away to.

I was maybe 5...I didn't run away, but ran away from my mother because she wanted me to do something and I was being disobedient. I probably said something like you can't make me, and you can't catch me...then I ran away and she ran after me and caught me and paddled me with a hair brush. I don't remember the spanking as much as being surprised she could catch me! LOL

yes. I think every kids does at least once. I was like 10 and I packed a backpack and ran away to my tree house back in our woods. It felt like I was gone forever, but in reality it was only a couple of hours:)
