I think if she in engaged and happy you should leave her alone and be friends with her. If the relationship falls apart she will turn to you first.

i will definitely be heart broken if such a thing happens. i will curse myself for not trying to propose her earlier itself.but still i would try to impress her hoping she will dump the other guy and fall for me.if the girl is very serious about her relation i will let her be and think she was not meant for me.
