That's a good idea to make this earth a environmental friendly again after all the destruction we have created on it to make our lives easier but the reality is that we are actually destroying ourselves and the future generation.

We really need to rethink how many children we plan to have. Humanity has overpopulated our planet to the point where it can no longer sustain us.

I agree, We brought a house three years ago on quite a big block and every year we have been here we have planted a tree for that year. I buy one for here and one for the farm. My friends buy me a plant for my birthday in three years I have 40 trees and are growing them until they reach a good hight then Im going to donate them to the tree charity which we have here. Im hoping to donate this time next year 100 trees. I think if everyone could plant at least 5-10 trees we would have a much better brighter future.

Seedlings need to be allowed to grow to full maturity which in some cases takes a hundred years. Since we have so much plastic I don't see why we can't use that instead of lumber to make furniture and stuff.

yes at this point of time every tree cut should be replaced by planting double the amount. We should realise that only humans are not living in the world. Many other animals also live here and they directly or indirectly need plants.

I think that is partly a good idea but I believe it is much wiser never to cut down a mature tree. Seedlngs can't help Mother Nature.

You are very true. Everyone should plant 5 to 10 trees every month not once. Only then we will be able to reduce some risk from Global warming.

We've already destroyed the biggest most mature trees that could have prevented global warming, seedlings planted now won't be able to do what those trees could have.

The rate at which trees are being mercilessly chopped..thats the least we can do to preserve mother nature..

Unfortunately at the rate fires are destroying what forests we have I doubt seedlings planted today will survive long enough to help Mother Nature.

I agree with you but I think it is also important that people start evaluating their usage and being made more conscious of recycling and minimising waste. I work in an office that wastes enormous amounts of paper, I know of several others that have the same indifference. If people continue using resoures this carelessly demand will exceed supply.

yes that is a very good idea not just to make it more green but to keep our air cleaner, trees clean the air and turn bad CO2 into Oxygen :)

But only after they mature, seedlings would die if there's too much pollution.

I fully agree with your suggestion. We basically like to take away from nature and rarely give back to nature. I think grwing trees is one way we humans can give back what we have taken for free.

Yes, we definitely need to stop cutting down mature trees, seedlings can't help remove the pollution we create.
