Peter Piper didn't pick a pack of pickled peppers. He picked a peck of pickled peppers. At the time of Peter's life there was no discovery of oil and plastics had not yet been extruded and formed into handy packs to keep items vacuum sealed. That is why the peppers were pickled - to keep them fresh throughout the long months. A peck is an old imperial volume measurement of 2 gallons, which would make it a large amount of pickled peppers to pick. I believe that his "pick"ing refers to his theft of the peck, and probable subsequent consumption of said evidence. It's therefore most likely that his peck of pickled peppers turned into excrement and urine, although if he ate it all at once it may have been regurgitated at great velocity....
