well if youre going to download some software, there's a good chance that you may get a virus. what you can do is to change the settings of whatever antivirus you are using, to include p2p in their scanner. most antivirus (well, updated antivirus) have this new feature. however, when using limewire, its quite easy to determine which files are most likely to be infected. look for their file size, more often than not they are the ones that have the same sizes. files that are below 1000kb are usually the ones to look out for. you can also change your setting in limewire for you to be able to see the 'junk' stuffs. go to tools, options, filters, junk and check 'the display junk' option. you'll be able to see the 'junks' so that you can avoid them. just remember to look at their file sizes and compare them to the once that are not on the junk list as some of them appears in different names but contains the same virus. but of course there's still a chance that some programs that you've downloaded contains a virus. just always remember to scan your finished file as worms and viruses also hides in zipped files. dont worry, ive been using limewire for quite sometime now, and if you follow what ive written here, you'll be fine. happy downloading!
