My husband and I were young when we purchased our first home. I was only 19 at the time and we bought our house for $75,000.

I purchased a 2 bed room apartment in the heart of the city for $10,000 in 1990 and sold it for $20000 in 1997.I used that money in business and now I am staying in a rented house.

WEll that way quite a long time ago. So it was only $85,000 about 30 years ago. Now homes are averaging around $250,000.
