yes . It could be damage the hard disk of computer. As he said there are so many processes which should end properly. And it takes time. So it could be damage.

there is reason your computer shuts down the way it does. it needs end all running processes and refresh the memory, shut down the hard drives, and all that other fancy stuff. i would just let my computer shut down all on its own without the help of a software.
