I think that it now upsets the balance of what we were taught so it has been there this long why say it is not a planet makes me wonder is earth a planet? what do we beleive if they can change it when ever they please.

Well guess that throws My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas out the window. Now what clever way will we use to remember the planets? SO what are they calling Pluto anyhow if its not a planet its certainly not a moon. What it just orbits the sun for the fun of things? I realise that as our technology grows certain aspects of life and the things we have learned will be challenged, changed and explored deeper than ever before but if this is the case then how do we teach our children what they need to know? I don't think I could ever not teach my kids that pluto is a planet anymore than I could not teach them the real reason the sky is blue or that the stork does not bring babies from some baby farm somewhere.

we were all thought that it is a planet. and by telling us it is not, make us totally confuse. i still think it is a planet. crazy old people! waisting their time debating on a thing that doesn't even mind them... i mean those people who decided that pluto is no longer a planet should find better things to do with their time than to waste it by telling us those type of stuffs.

I think that they should have just left it alone. Yea it may not actually be a planet but we have all know it to be a planet since we were all young children. They should have told us that it is not actually a planet but still left it.

I have known pluto to be a planet since I was younger. Now it is going to be weir knowing that it is no longer a planet. I think they should have just left it alnoe. Even though it is not a planet I think they should have left things the way they were.

I don't really think it upsets the balance. I think people just got used to saying that Pluto is a planet but I've always believed that knowledge and Science will always change. What we know today maybe false in the future. I mean, decades ago, the whole world believed that the world is flat and that the earth is the center of the universe, and when Galileo tried to change that, people got a little bit sensitive coz nobody really likes change.
