why do people cry... when they hear the word Good bye?

what is behind the word goodbye? why do people cry when they hear it? anyone here who laugh wheh they heard that word?

yes i do when i hear it from my friends. coz i know they will be back whenever they will be free or i will need. so i dont feel that people always cry listening to good bye. hope it answers your question
