A twist on an old question.

There are many of us here on myLot that have tried many ways to earn money online in the comfort of our homes. Unfortunately with all of our efforts, trust and hard earned money, at times some unseedy company has left us holding the bag while they are living on a tropical island with our money and dreams. Well, I would like to hear about it, here is an opprotunity to out the company to make sure, if they are still around, they are known here at myLot as a scam, even if they are not still in business, still maybe someone else will know they are not alone in the scam. I will even start my two recient ones were Gold Daddy and Nuclear Forex. Gold Daddy must have just up and left since their site is now suspended with my modest investment. Nuclear Forex is still running it is just that they are not paying. I have tried to contact both of these companies and it has came to no avail. Both of these sites have just reciently burnt mee and I wanted to let it be known. Wht about you have you ever been scammed?

I don't know how well I'm contributing to this discussion, because I honestly haven't been burnt by anything online yet. I don't know if I'm just fortunate or that I always take the time to make sure whatever is going on is a reputable company (usually without prior investment as I like getting into things that are FREE to try). All I can say is beware because they're certainly out there, but there are also great places that DO pay and places and things you can do which are very profitable. Best of luck.

Exactly streak_tlu. That is my policy. I've never been taken because of the too good to be true factor. If it seems it is, then it is.

So true! Anyone that wants you to pay for a starter kit or information or a training kit, are scammers. Like the previous person said: If it's too good to be true, it probably is!

I have never really been scammed in quite the same way. Thing is I keep getting emails from companies with offers for doubling your money or asking for investments. But I do not trust any of these and so have never invested. But one thing did happen to me - I was charged for a phone call to some remote place. What happened was some pop up came onto my computer screen which i shut down & apparently when you do that they get your telephone number and charge you $95 which shows up on the telephone bill. It is to some remote place out of the country. I spoke to verizon about it and they said they couldnt do anything about it and i had to just cough up the money. There are so many numerous ways of scamming thru the internet that you have to be really careful what site you log onto.

I do not recomend paying for any online opportunities. Just too risky. There are plenty of free ways to get scammed that will keep you busy. Also, anytime you have to wait for a payout, you know there is a chance you will get ripped. Look for forum discussion by other users and see if they are getting paid.

investing has intrinsic risks attached, not to say that there are many scams from the very beginning! so always remember spend the money you could lose comfirtably! and try to figure out the ways suit you for your portfolio. hyip is very risky, though you could earn some money.

I definitely only do free ones! That way, if anything, I just lose some time, no money.

I faced many scams. There are lots of online sites which promises to pay big money but never pays. I have stopped working on many sites and now I am just concentrating on mylot and two other sites and I am still not sure of the other two. Just due to this reason I have lost confidence in online work.

so we should always be aware and beware of something like easy money, especially that we are online.

I've not been burnt by any online companies yet, mainly because I've learned that working from home online means you shouldn't pay someone to work for them. So, I do not ever pay anyone for a business opportunity. However, I know there are so many people out there that invest in these "promise to make you rich" ventures, but I am just too leary about any company that wants my money and doesn't guarantee a payout. I guess you can call me a "skeptic". I am in the freelance writing business, and there is always the potential that one of my clients will scam me for pay; but, as much as they interview me, I am also interviewing them and scrutinizing their business before I accept a gig.

I have stopped relying on the hope that there is something online out there that will earn you money because I haven't found it yet. The best thing I have truthfully found is this, at best will earn you pocket change and that is it. I'm sorry you are having bad luck with Nuclear Forex, and I have not heard of them to be honest. But I have my own services I hope to make money from when my state of mind is in better shape.

I have never fallen for one of thoughs scams. I was always warned to not trust money and the internet. I was even a little frightened about making a paypal account.

I´ve been scammed by some autosurfs there are plenty of places in this internet world to be scammed, it´s easy to fall in that, so I read this book stop being a victim that gave me the other side of that schemes. Even today one autosurf site that paid me 3/4 times and looks like honest closed and I have lost some bucks. If somebody wants the link to the ebook email me please.

It's a sad fact that while the internet has opened up a world of possibilites for all of us, it's done the same thing for people who want to take advantage of others. I have found the two most lucrative jobs I've had online through homejobstop.com. It does cost a fee to join for life, but they thoroughly screen money-making opportunities to make sure they're legit before listing them. I have received $400 in payment during the last month (2 checks thru the mail). It is a legitimate job, though, not a scheme. They don't have any more openings or I would share them with you. However, they are proof that if you look hard enough and use the right tools, you can find internet jobs.

I never join any sites that require you to pay a fee to join. But I did join a free survey site a while back, Wow Earnings. And I had requested a check for around $35 and I never saw it. So even the free ones can scam you, but I feel a lot better knowing a free one scammed me rather than something I invested my money in.

Oh, I've been scammed. Too many times in fact, but I am still in it. I've been scammed by a lot of hourly, daily, even weekly programs. But I haven't stopped trying. It's a known fact that these type of programs may be here now and gone tomorrow, so before I even joined these programs I've told myself I'm just gambling. And when I win, I get the profit right away and play with it some more... I'm not encouraging anyone if they're not ready to lost, but it's a great feeling when you find something that's good and paying and easy to profit from. As usual, try to invest only what you can afford to lose.. This is a common advice from all the experienced ones. Even the experienced once get burned every now and then, so don't worry. You're not the only one. I hope you find something that'll pay you good, online or offline.
