study books - Don't over do it when you study, take a time out every 30-45 minutes
break up your study time into 30-45 minute sessions.then take 10 minute breaks. And start again!!

Try to study first thing in the morning, when your brain is rested and fresh. Make sure you eat properly, get exercise and sleep enough. Try to study for half an hour sessions. It's more productive as your concentration wanes after that. Take a five minute break and then do another half hour etc. Make sure you eat breakfast before a morning exam or lunch before an afternoon exam. The brain performs poorly if you've not been fed.

Try and eat some protein - eggs, cheese, fish, lentils. The old adage that "fish makes brains" seems to be vindicated by modern science!

Find a place which is quiet and free from distractions. Read what you are studying aloud, so that you can hear it and pick it up. You must do this everyday, regularly. So that when exams come, you won't cram because it is already in your head. The things that you study are stuck in your head if you always study them.
